Beginner:
(Half
day - class 1, duration 2.5 hours)
A beginner’s course as an introduction
to surfing. The lesson includes stretching
exercises, learning the board, reading ocean
conditions, catching waves, the jump-up,
accelerating and safely stopping. Includes
hotel transfers, use of school surfboard,
helmet and rash shirt, Rip Curl Certificate
of Surfing, sunscreen and bottled water.
Intermediate:
(Full day - classes 1 and 2, duration 5
hours)
Two essential courses for those who want
to get to grips with the basics of surfing.
In Classes 2 and 3, we teach you paddling
techniques, paddling out, through and over
waves, board control, making forehand and
backhand turns, paddling on to waves and
an introduction to the knowledge of wave
mechanics.
Advanced:
(Three days - classes 1 to 6, duration 15
hours)
Move up to advanced level surfing techniques
and learn how to make turns, transitions,
generate speed and the correct setup for
surfing larger waves. Also teaches you everything
you need to know about conditions and surf
etiquette in the water.
Privates:
(By the hour)
Pick the class you need, one on one tuition
from the best for the best result. Max two
persons, 50% charge for the second student
or children under 12 years.
Masters:
(Five days - classes 1 to 10, duration 25
hours)
Take yourself and your surfing to a higher
level. Reef breaks, short boards, bottom
turns and the defining moment of surfing,
the cut back. Big waves, road trips and
life lessons, master it all.
Pro
Rider :
(Eight days - classes 1 to 16, duration
40 hours)
If you want to get serious about life and
your surfing, the pro rider is all you need
to know. Reef breaks, floaters, re-entries,
boat trips and lots, lots more. Learn essential
skills in breath retention and putting together
manoeuvers.
Courses

Class
times :
Classes are held at the following times,
depending on tide and wave conditions:
8 - 10.30 am, 10.30 - 1.00 pm, 2.00 pm -
4.30 pm.
Equipment
& Safety:
We use only the best training surfboards,
designed for quick learning and for maximum
safety. We use special safety helmets designed
for surfing to ensure students are protected
at all times. We provide towels, showers
& changing facilities, high quality
imported sunscreen & zinc cream free
of charge for all students. The Rip Curl
school of surf is a founding member of the
Indonesian surfing association and is dedicated
to bringing the sport of surfing to a wider
audience. Our instructors are trained professional
surfers and have competed at national and
international level.
Insurance:
All school activities are fully covered
by insurance policy.
Transport:
We provide air-conditioned transport to
and from your hotel in Sanur, Kuta and Nusa
Dua.
What

Long board shorts with a tie waist, voucher
or payment (all major credit cards are welcome),
sunglasses and/or hat.
