The
Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, Bali,
has been built and furnished using traditional
Balinese materials and craftsmanship. The
colourful Songkets, hand woven textiles in
silk using a traditional weaving technique
adding gold and silver threads in different
patterns have signified social status for
many generations.
A
collection has been uniquely crafted for Bvlgari
and will be used as bedspreads in each villa
of the resort. The motifs of the weaving provide
thematic inspiration for the Resort's luxurious
atmosphere.

The
Context
The Bvlgari Resort, Bali, is set on a secluded
plateau near Uluwatu, on the southern tip
of Jimbaran peninsula. Defined by cliffs dramatically
dropping straight to the Indian Ocean, blessed
both by exhilarating sunrise and spectacular
sunset views, the resort enjoys private access
via a funicular to a pristine stretch of beach.
The
Design
Designed
by architects Antonio Citterio and Partners,
masters of geometries, style and colour, who
used traditional, hand cut volcanic stone,
rich exotic woods and contrasting customised
fabrics. All the furniture has been exclusively
created for the resort.
The
lush landscape has been crafted by renowned
Balinese landscape artist Made Wijaya.
The
Villas

villas, 300 to 550 square meters in size,
Italian in design with traditional Balinese
accentuations offer spectacular ocean views.
All villas have open air living and dining
pavilions, patios and pluge pool.
The
air conditioned interior consists of a large
bedroom, a study with high speed internet
access, a walk in closet and large indoor
bathroom with king size bath tub. Flat screen
TV and Hi Fi system by Bang and Olufsen.
The
Bvlgari Villa
A
private compound of 1300 square meters, individual
car access, vast dining and living facilities,
home theatre, two master bedrooms with terrace,
lap pool, meditation pavilion, and staff quarters.
The
Spa
Located
on the cliff's edge, treatment rooms and the
relaxation lounge offer unimpeded views of
the Indian Ocean. The main house is and antique
hand carved "Joglo" house from Java,
which was completely dismantled and rebuilt
on site. The Spa will provide individually
tailored, holistic experiences based on Balinese
traditions. It features 8 treatment rooms
including 2 Spa suites all equipped with private
changing area, bathroom, outdoor garden, swimming
pool, hot and cold plunge pools, male and
female steam rooms and a beauty salon. A fully
equipped fitness centre is also available.
The
Bar
A
haven for relaxed contemplation during the
day, the perfect place for drinks at sunset
and for lounging in the moonlight, the Bar
is set on the cliff edge.
The
Restaurants
The
Bvlgari Resort, Bali features two restaurants.
One is contemporary Indoesian, and is open
for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a sophisticated
casual atmosphere. The other is creative Italian,
open only for dinner with a more formal ambiance. |
